Bluescreen is all about YOUR Short Films...
Bluescreen host an Open Screen Independent Walk-in Film Programme at The Cube Cinema in Bristol, England, screening Short Films by Bristol based Filmmakers since 2001.
We screen work from the Amateur & Pro Filmmakers alike. You just need to turn up with your film(s) at one of our events and we will screen them! Simple as that! Format wise we like DVD and Films can be up to 20mins in length.
We have an Orchestra! The Cube Orchestra re-soundtracks a couple of films from the burgeoning Bluescreen Film Archive, at most events now. We have DJs - Bluescreen Hi-Fi dj in the bar throughout the evening. We also dig into the Archive to re-screen classic films from past Bluescreens.
We have screened films at Film and Music Festivals in the UK, Europe and beyond and have also hosted other film related events at The Cube Cinema. We helped to organise the Bristol Filmmakers Festival in 2008 and we hosted a 10 year retrospective at the Encounters International Film Festival 2011, Bristol. (See Events/Past Events Page).
