Bluescreen is all about YOUR Short Films...
Bluescreen host an Open Screen Independent Walk-in Film Programme at The Cube Cinema in Bristol, England, screening Short Films by Bristol based Filmmakers since 2001.
We screen Amateur & Pro Filmmaker alike. You just need to turn up with your film(s) at one of our events and we will screen them! Simple as that!
Format wise we like DVD/Mini-DV, we can do Memory sticks but its a bit of a pain! And Films should be no longer than 20mins in length.
We have an Orchestra! The Cube Orchestra re-soundtracks a couple of films from the burgeoning Bluescreen Film Archive, at most events now!
We have DJs! Bluescreen Hi-Fi DJs in the bar throughout the evening!
We also dig into the Archive to re-screen classic films from past Bluescreens!
We have screened films at Festivals in the UK and Europe & have hosted other film related events at The Cube. We helped organise the Bristol Filmmakers Festival 2008 and we hosted a 10 year retrospective at the 2011 Encounters International Film Festival, Bristol. (See Events/Past Events Page).
